about us
Hello! I’m Emily and I’m the founder of Fruit Salad Flowers. I live in Edinburgh with my husband and wee girl, Clover.
I started the business back in 2020 as I felt there was a gap in the market in Scotland for non traditional flowers that aren’t afraid to explore different colour schemes and unusual flower types. The name Fruit Salad Flowers just felt right with what I wanted to create and I ran with it.
I’ve always had a strong interest in flowers and growing, but decided to take it to the next level and attended an intensive floristry course at Tallulah Rose flower school down in the beautiful Lake District.
Since starting the business I’ve been blown away by the amazing opportunities and genuinely lovely clients, both private and commercial. It’s such an exciting time in the floristry industry as boundaries are constantly being pushed to create completely original and beautiful works of art, and I’m so proud to be in this community. Colour is at the core of Fruit Salad Flowers and I truly get excited reading each enquiry to find out what each client wants to create. I love a challenge and find the most unusual colour palettes often create the biggest impact.
I run the business alone, but lean on my amazing floristry community for events that require extra pairs of hands.
Growing flowers is a huge motivation and interest for me in running the business. I use my parents garden in Fife to grow as many as I can. My ultimate favourites are dahlias, the colours, shapes and textures they produce take my breath away every year, it never gets old for me.
Fruit Salad Flowers is 5 years old this year and has grown so much since it’s humble beginnings, I’m so excited to see where it will be in another 5 years. i would love to hear from you if you love and appreciate flowers as much as me.
